Surrounded by high ramparts dating from the Portuguese invasion, the Medina, whose charm and beauty are celebrated by many artists, is renowned for its Music and Cultural Festival, and you can discover by randomly walking alleys, mural frescos Performed by the artists. At 35 mn from Tangier, Assilah with its flowery lanes offers the sweetness of life.
Dar Moussa is located in front of the sea, along the ramparts of the Medina (The Old Town). Ancient city created by a famous pirate, Asilah (or Azeilah) is also a spiritual city with its old marabout and saints all along the village which also became famous for his artists.
The house, an old fishermen house, facing the sun set, is both simple and stylish, sophisticated and comfortable.
The two double rooms are facing sky and sea and three additional beds make it easier for families with kids.
Latifa comes every day to clean the house and cook some delicious Moroccan or European meals. She speaks Darija, the Moroccan Arabic, and French. About English and Spanish, she uses the translator that makes the life easier.
First floor – or rez de chaussée- a dining room for 4 to 6 pacs is separated by an open mauresque wall from a cosy living room and a chimney, and the kitchen.
Second floor, the hammam is in a traditional tadelakt style, while the office is facing the sea. Behing the double doors designed by Clara, her colorful room with the tv. Sit in the bed and enjoy reading or having your breakfast only hearing and seeing the waves of the ocean.
On the top roof, the terrace and a long white room compose an exclusive spot to contemplate the ocean, the harbour, to read and to write or just to enjoy doing nothing but meditate in silence.
Lunches are great on the terrace and dinners too.
